Billboard magazine analysis.

Billboard magazine is an American magazine, which features a variety of artists that represent different genres. This magazine has a wide audience as the different genres appeal to different people. The background is blue, which is a bright bubbly colour, and it is very eye-catching, also the yellow, red and white, grab peoples attention, and draws people in, the colours represent the pop genre. The masthead goes behind Justin Bieber's head but even though it does, you can still tell it is the same as any other time that the magazine is published, with the red, yellow and blue in the middle of the "O", which also links with the background colour and the font colour. There is a quote over Justin Bieber, which is unusual however you can still tell what it reads; this is to promote Justin Bieber and his work. The masthead is at the top of the magazine so when it is being displayed you can see what magazine it is, and it is rather large so it stands out. The font of the masthead is simple but bold, and it is san serif. All the writing on the front cover is in capitals apart from the masthead. There are 8 cover stories on this front cover to advertise what is included in this issue of the magazine. The font on the cover is all the same however it has been swashed to size. There are ten different sizes of font used, and it all appears to be in bold.  I would say this magazine appeals to the male gender mainly, however females may also be interested.
